A 360 photo booth has a way of becoming the heart of a party. The music goes up, the queue forms, and suddenly everyone from the kids to the grandparents wants their turn on the red carpet. If you have booked one for your Adelaide event — or you are thinking about it — these twelve tips will help you get videos your guests will still be sharing weeks later.
Before the event
1. Put the booth where the energy is
The best spot is close to the dance floor or near the entrance, where guests naturally gather. A booth tucked away in a side room gets forgotten. When you book your 360 booth, tell us about the venue so we can plan the space and the nearest power point together.
2. Think about the background
A 360 camera sees everything around your guests, so a tidy, well-lit corner makes a big difference. Keep stacked chairs, bins and storage boxes out of the circle. Adding an event backdrop nearby gives guests a second photo spot and keeps the area looking styled.
3. Choose the right hire length
For a shorter celebration, a 3 to 4 hour package usually covers the busiest part of the night. For weddings and big birthdays, a 5 to 6 hour hire lets the booth run from arrival right through to the last dance. You can compare both on our pricing page.
4. Tell your guests it is coming
A line on the invitation or a message in the group chat builds excitement. Guests plan outfits, practise their moves and arrive ready to spin.
On the day
5. Open the booth early
The first hour, when everyone is dressed up and fresh, often produces the best videos. Opening early also spreads the queue across the night.
6. Plan a few group spins
Some of the most-watched clips are group ones: the bridal party, the birthday guest of honour with their closest friends, or three generations of one family. Our overhead booth has no step-up platform, so groups have room to move together.
7. Bring props that move
Slow motion loves movement. Streamers, feather boas, fans, flags, confetti cannons and oversized sunglasses all look spectacular in a 360 clip. Hats and head wraps that catch the light work beautifully too.
8. Pick a signature song
Choose one track your guests associate with the night and play it during peak booth time. It gives everyone the same energy and makes the clips feel connected when they are shared.
9. Encourage a “move”
Standing still is the most common mistake. A slow twirl, a dip, a dance step or a dramatic reveal from behind a fan turns a nice clip into a great one. Give guests an idea or two while they wait in line.
After the event
10. Collect the best clips
Ask a friend to gather favourite videos from the night so you have them in one place for a thank-you post or a highlight reel.
11. Share them with your guests
People love seeing themselves in slow motion. A shared album or a group message with the best clips keeps the celebration going long after the party.
12. Plan the rest of your set-up in one booking
If you are hosting a big celebration, the booth is only one part of the list. Many hosts add chafing dishes and food warmers for the buffet, so everything arrives on one delivery.
